Cahiers du Cinéma Names Best Films of 2025

The French film magazine Cahiers du Cinéma, one of the most influential publications in the world of cinema, published its list of the ten best films of 2025.

First place went to the Spanish documentary “Days of Solitude” by Albert Serra, which tells about the daily life of a matador. The film debuted in competition at the San Sebastian Film Festival last year and won the main prize — the Golden Shell.

Second place went to “The Battle for Battle” by Paul Thomas Anderson. The full list is presented below:
