For the first time since 2019, Disney’s box office has exceeded six billion dollars — a result the studio achieved in 2025. It appears that Disney producers have finally emerged from the post-pandemic crisis and returned to pre-crisis levels.
No other major studio has managed to reach similar results since 2015, making Disney the absolute industry leader this year.
The studio’s financial success was driven by 16 films that were released worldwide at different times throughout the year. The sequel “Zootopia 2” and the remake “Lilo & Stitch” played a particularly important role, each grossing over a billion dollars at the global box office.
