A Far Cry series is in development, with creators of “Legion”, “Fargo” and “Mythic Quest” attached.
No official announcement has been made yet, but Ubisoft’s website prematurely published a press release that was quickly removed. The game series adaptation is expected to be an anthology: each season will tell a standalone story in a separate world with new characters.
Ubisoft will work on the series with cable channel FX, and the show’s creators will be Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Mythic Quest”) and Noah Hawley (“Legion”, “Fargo”, “Alien: Earth”). McElhenney will also play one of the roles, and Hawley will serve as showrunner.
