Frank Darabont, the creator of films such as “The Green Mile” and “The Shawshank Redemption,” has shared details about working on the fifth season of the fantasy series “Stranger Things.” The director filmed the third and fifth episodes of the show’s final season.
It turns out that Darabont joined the project to replace Dan Trachtenberg, who left “Stranger Things” to work on the new “Predator” film. According to the director, despite not having directed a film since 2013, all his skills returned to him immediately upon stepping onto the set.
It’s worth noting that Darabont does not plan a full return to filmmaking. “Stranger Things” appears to be his first and last project for the coming years.
