American actor Isaiah Whitlock Jr. has passed away at the age of 72, according to media reports. The cause of death was a short illness.
Whitlock was born in 1954 in South Bend, Indiana. He began his acting career on television in the late 1980s. His most notable roles were in series such as “The Wire,” “Veep,” “Your Honor,” and other projects.
The actor also actively collaborated with director Spike Lee, appearing in six of his films. Among them are “25th Hour,” “BlacKkKlansman,” and “Da 5 Bloods.”
Earlier this year, another “The Wire” cast member, James Ransone, also passed away.
