John Woo and Nicolas Cage will work together again after nearly 25 years. Their last collaboration was the war drama “Windtalkers.”
Woo will direct, and Cage will star in the crime biopic “Gambino” about Italian-American mafia leader Carlo Gambino.
The film will tell the biography of the crime boss, not only from Gambino’s perspective but also from that of Pulitzer Prize winner Jimmy Breslin, who begins to study his life in detail after the criminal’s death in 1976.
The “Gambino” screenplay was written by George Gallo (“Bad Boys”) and Nick Vallelonga (“Green Book”).
