Marty Supreme Shows Best Box Office Opening in A24 History

The sports dramedy “Marty Supreme” starring Timothée Chalamet earned $28.1 million in its first weekend in the US. This is the highest box office figure in A24 studio history.

The Christmas holiday weekend worked in favor of “Marty.” The previous A24 record holder was “Civil War”: the thriller grossed $25.5 million over the traditional three-day weekend in April 2024.

The film tells the story of an ambitious ping-pong player Marty Mauser living in 1952 New York. The film was directed by Josh Safdie (“Uncut Gems”). “Marty Supreme” will be released in Russia on January 15, 2026.
