The list features the war drama “One Battle After Another,” the crime thriller “Sinners,” the romantic comedy “It was just an Accident” the historical drama “Hamnet,” the family saga “Sentimental Value,” the detective story “No other choices,” the spy thriller “Secret Agent,” the melancholic drama “Train Dreams,” the biographical film “Jay Kelly,” the comedy “Good Fortune,” and the political satire “Orwell: 2+2=5.”

Obama regularly publishes such lists at the end of each year, selecting films that he believes deserve special attention. This year’s selection is dominated by dramas and thrillers exploring themes of war, family, politics, and human relationships.
