“Shrek 5” has been delayed by six months, from December 23, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
The animated film will tell about the further adventures of the green ogre, his family and friends, including his grown-up daughter (voiced by Zendaya). The new film about the green ogre is directed by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon, who previously worked on the franchise. Producers include Gina Shay and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri.
The release of the fifth “Shrek” has already been postponed — the sequel was originally scheduled for July 1, 2026.
