Director Shawn Levy has revealed the name of the composer who will write the music for the new Star Wars universe film. The soundtrack for “Star Wars: Starfighter” will be created by Thomas Newman — a 15-time Oscar nominee, known for films such as “American Beauty” and “The Shawshank Redemption.”
The plot of “Starfighter” unfolds five years after the events of the ninth episode of the saga — “The Rise of Skywalker.” The main character, played by Ryan Gosling, must save his nephew (Flynn Gray) from dangerous pursuers.
The film’s cast also includes Amy Adams, Mia Goth, Matt Smith, and Aaron Pierre. The premiere of “Starfighter” is scheduled for May 28, 2027.
